NAV Expands Its Airline Partnerships with Turkmenistan Airlines

NAV AERO Global Cargo GSSA Network has further strengthened its airline portfolio by welcoming Turkmenistan Airlines. The new partnership highlights the network’s dedication to delivering exceptional service and enhancing global connectivity for its clients.

Turkmenistan Airlines is the flag carrier and sole airline of Turkmenistan, operating under IATA T5 and ICAO TUA. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Ashgabat, the airline is based at Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) and is owned by the Government of Turkmenistan.

The airline operates a fleet of approximately 25 to 30 aircraft, covering both passenger and cargo operations. Its international network links Central Asia with major gateways including London, Frankfurt, Milan, Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Delhi, Bangkok, Beijing, Shenzhen, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City, supporting trade and passenger flows across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Turkmenistan Airlines strengthened capacity in 2023 and 2024 through the addition of Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft and Airbus A330-200F cargo freighters. The combination of widebody passenger lift and dedicated freighter capability positions the airline for forwarder-friendly solutions on long-haul lanes via its ASB hub, including belly capacity options and cargo-focused uplift where needed.
